IIT – Your Dream?
IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) is one of the most prestigious institutes globally. Candidates who get the chance to study engineering from IITs will get a lot of job opportunities globally at an excellent package and designation.
But to get into IITs is not an easy task. It needs a lot of dedication, hard work and patience during preparation. The way to IIT has been divided into two phases- the first is JEE Main and the second phase is JEE Advanced.
JEE Main and JEE Advanced is a ladder to get admissions into IIT, ISM, NIT, IIIT and other prestigious Institutes in India.
The JEE Main is usually conducted twice in a year in the months of January and April. JEE Advanced will be conducted once by one of the seven IITs on a rotational basis
JEE – The Barrier between you and you dream
JEE is a difficult space to bang. JEE preparation takes a lot of dedication and hard work. The prime saviour for all the IIT aspirants is ‘Textbooks’. And it is extremely crucial to select the useful editions that will enable you to crack the JEE examination.
So, when it is a course of book choice, there are various options available for the aspirants.
NCERT is the best and chief book that will effectively clear your basic understanding of the subject. There are many books available that you can use for your reference or in-depth knowledge.
Practicing for and more questions will help you score well in the JEE examinations.
As you are already aware, the JEE examination is the most competitive engineering entrance. Therefore, students must refer to the best books to get themselves familiar with the exam pattern and the level of the questions.
Moreover, you can refer to the sample papers books to practice the previous year’s question papers and attempt the mock tests that will help you in increasing your speed and precision.
“If you know what to study, half your battle is won”
Arm yourself before you go into the battlefield
Any preparation effort is only worth when it is backed by factors that add value to it. So your armoury for the battle is to know:
(a) Exam Syllabus
(b) Exam Pattern
(c) Books to prepare with (matters a lot)
(d) Subject-wise/Topic-wise knowledge with the idea of weightage (you need to well known about the weight of your topics to be prepared)
(e) Preparation strategies

FAQs
Ques. Is NCERT enough for JEE Exam 2025?
Ans: JEE is a national level entrance test. Thus, referring only to NCERT books will not be enough. However, many JEE toppers recommend aspirants not to avoid the NCERT books, especially for Chemistry where direct questions are asked from the book many a times, mainly in organic chemistry section. NCERT Class 12 Part 2 book is s treasure of organic chemistry. Every line of it is important for boards as well as JEE exam.
Ques. I have my personal notes. Should I study from them or go for JEE books?
Ans: In case, a candidate has personally prepared his study notes for JEE, then he should mainly focus on that including NCERT. Only after extinguishing the notes should they go for any other book for JEE preparation.
Ques. Is there any specific book for all subjects JEE preparation?
Ans: Not one book but topic specific books should be referred by candidates in order to get the best results.
Ques: What are the best books for JEE 2025 exam?
Ans: One book is never sufficient while preparing for a national level entrance examination like JEE. The subject wise best books for JEE are mentioned here.
